Paris Saint-Germain doesn’t waste any time in their search for the new midfielder as they are reportedly close to signing one. The French giant is looking to secure the signature of Manchester United’s Ander Herrera for next summer.
Herrera has been a key figure for Man United recently, but his contract will be up next June. PSG are looking to get an agreement with the player so they can get him for free.
However, there are also reports suggesting United can activate an extra one-year extension in the Spaniard’s deal. Still, should that happens, PSG can still sign the player but must pay some money to MU.
The French outfit has been experiencing issues with their midfield depth since January. Their dispute with Adrien Rabiot turned out costly for Thomas Tuchel’s side as their Champions League campaign ended early.
Not having many options in midfield forced Tuchel to play an uncommon setup against United twice. Their failure seems to force PSG management to react quickly in handling that issue.
It remains to be seen whether Herrera will agree to join the French giant or not next summer. The player seems to be enjoying his time at Man United, but there’s still uncertainty with the team next season.
